Hey World,
Can I please tell you all how excited I am to watch Jersey Shore tonight? I love the weekly reminder that I am living my life better than they are. But am I really? They are true to who they are, however revolting it may be to every else. I think they get some props for that. What they dont get props for is the aggression and distaste in which they conduct their freedoms.
It will be very interesting to see what goes down with Angelina. She returns to the show even though no one else in the house knows shes coming. It is rumored though that she leaves yet again. Probably because it would be extremely hard for a person to live in a house of strangers who hate you.
Who else will be watching this epic night tonight?

Trashy Television
Whats up world?
I absolutely love trashy TV, that is almost any reality show there is. Real world and real housewives (all of them) being my two favorites. I happen to just watch the episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey where Theresa and Danielle have a fight at the country club. Then Danielle calls the police, who do nothing, and everyone goes home.
As much as I love the show and watch it, meaning I feed this horrible American Society crap, I find a problem in this episode that can be applied to almost all reality TV.
1) Danielle is mentally ill. It has become clear that similar to Kelly on housewives of New York, Danielle lives in a very different reality than is perceived by everyone else. Danielle truly is afraid that the women on the show are going to attack her. In fact, she thinks they already did. She feels a need for body guards and police intervention
2) Danielle, though always fearful of physical harm, continues to go to all the places that the other women frequent. Asking for it yes, deserving it no.
3)The police see Danielle as the boy who cried wolf. Though I do not believe anyone should have been arrested, and Danielle was absurdly hysterical, the police were not serving and protecting. I do believe the other women need to be protected from Danielle really.
4) Theresa is no angel. She may not have picked a fight with Danielle, but she did start a conversation with her. Has no one else learned that if you open the door for Danielle to go crazy she will?
So this brings me to a few questions:
1)What about Danielle's kids? Are they in danger having a mother with no income besides this show, having a mother who is not stable enough to handle herself, and frequently has ex-convicts who see no harm in threatening violence and are okay with going to jail again?
2)When do the actions on reality TV since now exposed become someones responsibility? It is now obvious to all of America that there are issues that are escalating to a dangerous area. Because they all signed contracts does this mean we all watch and wait for disaster?
This is my biggest problem with reality TV. We all want to watch people mess up their lives, but no one is willing to help them.
I do think that Caroline and Jaquelin as well as her husband need to be applauded. Caroline has been right this whole time. Ignore the crazy lady and go about your life the way you want to. Give her no reason to be part of you. Good job! Jaquelin and her husband need applause on their daughter who is obviously out of control. If she listened to them, shed be in good hands. Typical teenager thinking they are above it and untouchable... "it won't happen to me" She actually thinks she can 'do whatever she wants shes 18' What she doesn't understand is that if she really wanted to kick Danielle's ass she should have done it before her 18th birthday so she would be a juvenile.
There should be a seminar for high school students freshman year and again senior year explaining the law to them....
I wish all the housewives, especially Kelly and Danielle the best, they need the most help. And I hope Albie, Caroline's son becomes the greatest attorney America has ever known.

smile today
Hello there world!
Today I have been reminded of those little things that make a person happy. Today I was at work and annoyed at the task of sorting and delivering mail. Seems silly to be annoyed at something so easy and mundane. However, I will admit that I was in fact annoyed. Then I realized, since taking on the mail delivery of another co -worker, I have acquired a large amount of rubber bands. So from this lame task of mail delivery I have now gotten a fun new task that includes a fun new toy. Rubber Band Ball. Since I have a go big or go home motto this is my new goal
http://www.boingboing.net/esidfklg.jpg
Though I realize enormous elastics like those depicted in the photo above will not come in my mail packages... a girl can dream.
I also dropped my wallet today, scattering coins everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE. They went rolling down the hall and everything. Again annoyance set in. As I collect all of my random belongings that are somehow housed in my wallet I come across a little green paper I got at a Yoga studio about a year ago. It said " Love yourself Today"
So today I urge myself as well as anyone out there to find the good in the bad, smile today, and have a good time. I have certainly learned my lesson to take a deep breath and laugh at myself when I drop everything on the floor :)

Lindsey Lohan
This poor girl needs a life coach immediately. Her parents do absolutely nothing for her wellbeing and have not set her up to understand the rammifications of her actions. She is more like a 13 year old boy who just keeps saying " but that will never happen to me" right before it does.
I am sure she is going to serve very little jail time and probably not even the 90 days in rehab. The thing is, for someone who has yet to see they are wrong, and yet to want to be better and sober, it won't work. I hope one day she realizes the extent to her problems. Drug abuse, no work, no goals...
I am not an expert on drug addiction or alcoholism by any means... but if you ask me, I would rather see her in a very very serious rehab institute for the next twelve months than in jail at all. And this is coming from someone who believes Lindsey is a menace to society. She, as well as many other hollywood goers, need to start taking DUIs seriously. Don't wait until you actually hit and kill someone.
The whole situation is sad. She is too young to be given up on, but she desperately needs to learn a lesson. I hope her jail time and rehab do that for her. Though I suspect we will see her partying it up in LA the day after shes out...

Let me introduce myself
Hello World,
I am a 22 year old who wants to recognize her freedom of speech given to us all by our great founding fathers. I've got to tell you, they had it right. Anyway, I am a graduate student studying business on my way to obtaining my MBA. This is not really a blog to inspire, change, or evoke anything, but instead to share an insight from a peer and give an outlet for myself, and for you. I am just like you, and I will tell you what I think about most anything from The Hills being fake to the BP oil spill disaster. I will also suggest good books, movies, sites etc etc. If there is something you want to discuss let me know! I invite opposition, praise and any other comments that come in between.
Thanks for reading,
M
